The vote for soc.culture.netherlands is over, and it has indeed been a vote
*FOR* soc.culture.netherlands. At the deadline, 323 people had cast a "yes"
vote, and 30 a "no". This means that the number of yes votes is 92% of the
total and exceeds the number of no votes by 293.

I thank everyone who expressed her/his opinion.

If there are no major objections, i assume that David Lawrence will create the
group after the usual 5 day waiting period.


The charter of soc.culture.netherlands is:

        Discussions on topics related to Dutch culture and society.
        This group welcomes people from the Netherlands, Belgium, people
        of Dutch descent and all who are interested to join this group.
        The preferred languages will be English, Dutch/Flemish, Frisian,
        Afrikaans and Papiamento.
